No. Sync Master only reads your sheets. It never writes back, never reorders rows, and never edits cells.

You choose the matching key — barcode or SKU. Sync Master looks up the variant in Shopify by that key and updates the corresponding inventory or metafield.

Yes. Run Test Connection — Sync Master fetches the first 3 rows from the cells you configured (key column, quantity column and any mapped metafield columns) so you can confirm the column mapping is correct before running the sync. There is no full before-and-after diff; the test simply verifies what data will be read from the sheet.

Yes. The Basic plan supports one location and the Pro plan supports unlimited locations in a single run.

Yes. Basic supports daily and monthly schedules. Pro supports custom schedules as well.

Inventory updates are batched in groups of 100 and metafields in groups of 25, well within Shopify's API limits. Each run is checkpointed, so if anything fails the next run resumes from the exact last successful row instead of starting over.

Yes. Long syncs run in the background with a live progress indicator showing row counts and updates. You can stop a run at any time — already-processed rows stay updated, and you can resume later from the same point.

Sync Master detects untracked variants and automatically activates inventory tracking at the target location before writing the new quantity, so you never have to do it by hand.

Yes. Every run reports a summary of updated, skipped, errored and metafield-touched rows, and you can export the full per-row result as CSV for sharing, archiving or reconciliation.
